REPORT SHOWS SEAT BELT SHOULD OF BEEN ON RICKY

On November 13, 1998, I received deliver of the seat belt I had earlier forwarded to Serological Research Institute for forensic examination.

Upon examination of the belt I noted three areas which had been marked 1, 2, & 3.

The number 3 mark was 31.5 inch's from the metal clip and on the top side of the strap.

The number 1 mark was next to the clip and also on the top side of the strap.

The number 2 mark was also next to the metal clip, however it was located on the back side of the strap.

In my opinion, the presence of blood near the metal clip, on either side of the strap, would be expected.

THE PRESENCE OF BLOOD 31.5 INCH'S FROM THE METAL CLIP IS DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN, IF IN FACT, THE SEAT BELT WAS NOT SECURED AROUND RICKY DYER'S WAIST AND RETRACTED INTO IT'S HOUSING.

It should be noted the only evidence that blood exists in the above mentioned locations are the markings left by the forensic examiner.

SHOTGUN SHELLS

DEPUTIES REPORT STATES:

Spent shotgun shell Winchester MAX-1 1/8-4, recovered from ground near drivers door of victims vehicle.... Also recovered from shotgun.

IS THESE THE REAL SHELLS THAT WAS IN THE SHOTGUN????

THE SHELLS RICKY HAD ARE:

The shell was Winchester Dove and Quail load. 31/4 - 1- 71/2.

Does that mean it's the same shell?

This is interesting, the gun holds only three shells, so one is shot and get back in the car, but why load another shell, unless you don't know about shotguns...There was one shot and two in the chambers...So the gun had to be loaded again for the one shot outside...

What would be the sense in Ricky putting in another shell, when there would of been two in the gun to shoot...Something wrong here... And why would he take his gun out of the gun case? Ricky never took the gun without the case, even going to the gun club, he didn't want to get any scatches on the gun...
