in about 1989 some people at work were throwing a party it was a boat party and I asked if you have to have a boat to come to the party and they asked do you have one? and I replyed no. OH YES you MUST have a boat to come LOL. so I built this boat inside a duplex I was living in at the time .
well I have never built a boat before but I have built cabinets so I constructed the hull like a drawer
the sides were made of 2x12 planks with a slot at the bottom for a plywood floor then I added 2x4 floor braces . . . when it was finished it was square and the front rolled up like a bobsled it was ok if you went slow or real fast but if you went in between the water would push its way over the top so I cut the front off and made a flat bottom pointy front end and lost interest in working on it well now the boat is 18 years old and needs to be completed

this boat has a 4 speaker am fm cd marine system full nav lights and function panel VHF radio and a furniture grade hard wood slat floor and trim and chrome hand rails dry storage and safety equipment and it all started as a joke the boat has been streched to 13 ft long and needs to be rebuilt the new engine will be a 40hp merc.

another option might be to make it a inboard briggs engine and mount this dummy motor on top of it it has thread inserts so all the v8's externals will bolt right up to it like zoomies and a tunnel ram

the boat has been completely taken apart and the hull bow has been stretched and reconfigured from 8 feet to 13 with a pointy front
