this is my kart as recieved

1960-61 Capitol Kart UMP special
broken seat hoop
dented and cracked front
cracked steering hoop support
nuts and bolts welded to frame for return spring mounts
cushion aire motor mounts totaly beat up with extra welded steel plates and angle iron supports

only about 100 of these karts were ever made and this is one of only two known to still exsist
so it is very important to me to keep it in great condition

here is the restored chassis sporting a screaming yellow paint job

all the bent tubes have been straightened or replaced and a new floor pan welded in

extremely rare vintage Palmini hydraulic brakes

I looked for very hard for a few years to find these babys I intend on mounting both of them to this chassis one inboard and the other outboard of the chassis

the UMP will be powered by 2 NO Lets make it 3! ! very custom Animal engines

if you are a vintage kart purest dont cry I dont intend on doing anything to this kart that cant be unbolted and returned to original
these engines have custom loop pipes exotic toy builder intakes and finned valve cover with custom loop vents the blower housing has marbled orange and yellow paint with real gold leaf flames
F200 carbs and a K&N filter

I do have a pair of these engines if I wanted to stay period correct this model was made between
1955 & 1966 and they were raced here in the USA in the early days of Karting on American chassis

Well I guess its time to start detailing all the parts and start bolting them back on I have a nice set of repro go power wheels and a Palmini bubble tank but I still need tires and tubes and I need to find someone to make a seat cushion
