WE MUST MAKE OUR STAND
Pranams, prabhujis, I am praying the mercy of Prabhupada and Gaura Nitai is being felt in your lives, for when it is there, where ever we are situated, we are happy to surrender, saying "what is the difficulty", like Prahlada maharaja, and Prabhupada. I have boxes of poetry I hardly ever look in, but I found some older stuff, I would like to share, like this one poem in the mood of one prayer by Saint Francis of Assisi. He was so pure even wild animals became, peaceful in his presence and Prabhupada said he loved the Guru of Saint Francis, Jesus Christ as much as Krishna, so the purport I believe is, the pure love and worship the pure, who have established, an intimate relationship, with the Supreme Personality of Godhead and Prabhupada said,we should pray to all the acharyas, I was hearing in the Chaitanya Charitamrta, at the Nityananda festival in ashland, oregon, recently. An acharya at every moment manifest the perfect example of pure ecstatic love of Godhead, to humanity, even melting the hearts, of those in lower forms of life, with inconceivable mystical powers. Anyhow, here is the poem...
WE MUST MAKE OUR STAND
Be loving, if you want love,
be helping if you want help,
be divine, if you want heaven,
and be hellish if you want hell.
Be giving, if you want giving,
be kind, if you want a friend,
assist the living, if you want a living,
and be selfish, if you want an end.
Be respectful, if you want respect,
be ill mannered, if you want a foe,
be neglectful, if you want neglect,
and be inquisitive, if you want to know.
Be humble, if you want greatness,
and be proud, if you want evil,
be a student, if you want a teacher,
and be careless, if you want the devil.
Be a gentleman, if you want a lady,
and lady be chaste, if you want a good man,
and cheat, if you want a cheater,
but, what ever we want,
we must make our stand!!!!!!
Where there is truth,
let me show the way,
where they are misleading,
let me make them pay.
Where there is too much cold,
let me bring them heat,
and where there is pain,
let me bring them relief.
Where an answer is needed,
let me bring the solution,
where they are deceiving,
let me end the illusion.
What do I want?
let me be a light for all,
the rich and the poor,
the big and the small.
What do I want?
to not be deluded,
to know what I am doing,
and for what I am suited.
What do I want?
to see all very clear,
what there is to honor,
and what there is to fear.
What do I want?
freedom from all doubt,
to only see the truth,
with in and with out.
Be forgiving, if you want forgiveness,
be patient, to get what you want,
seek wisdom, if you want enlightenment,
wisdom from scriptures, saints and God.
Yes, be forgiving, if you want forgiveness,
be unforgiving, if you want no peace,
have a patient open mind, to learn how,
to truly learn, see none as enemies.
Krishna says a sage sees all equally,
so called enemies and friends,
no matter one's dress,
in happiness or distress.
Step gently through thy days,
step gently through thy nights,
forget the past now sleeping,
nor trust the future, beyond sight.
Clasp the time with in thy grasp,
to remember Who is giving,
Thy light, you have to find thy way,
and thy life, that you are living.
He doth Live in every heart,
and behold His Constant Hand,
at every moment, every step,
to help all understand.
His Love still doth await us,
when all other loves depart,
for thy sincere and tear filled eyes,
and pleading open hearts.
Take me, I am Yours,
for what ever You desire,
for Krishna, you are my Lord,
the only One, to take all higher.
Make me dance O lord,
prayed Shrila Prabhupada,
just like a wooden puppet,
for Krishna, the Supreme God.
So following in His Foot prints,
let us do the same,
and pray to be Krishna's instruments,
simply absorbed in chanting His Names..
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
All glories to Shrila Prabhupada,
who I pray instilled his most blessed potency, in these words I write... your eternal servant, anubhavananda dasa....
