FILM REVIEW--THE TAILOR OF PANAMA----
His name is Osnard--Andy Osnard--Pierce Brosnan is back---not as Bond but Andy Osnard, MI6-an anti-Bond.
Directed by John Boorman(Excalibur) written by John LeCarre the Tailor of Panama is Geoffry Rush as Harry Lender expatriate Brit tailor to the wealthy and powerful in Panama.
Osnard is sent to Panama as punishent for fucking too many VIP wives. In Panama he hooks up with Lender to dig up dirt on the elite--and bribes Harry--who is being put into repo by his banker(Jon Polito)
Osnard passes hm info that the banker is the siilent partner of his neighbor who is stealing water for his land----Lender has to create a story i order to keep the money flowing--and he concocts a story the the Chinese are buying th Canal--which puts the US into motion to re-invade Panama----
The film moves deliberately, and takes jusified shots at both Bush administrations---
Also shining in the film are Jamie Lee Curtis as Harry's wife Louisa, and Catherine McCormick as the asst. Brit ambassador--and yes there is nudity--unlike the Bond films!!!
