I purchased this pipe from The Smoker (http://www.thesmoker.com - pipes@thesmoker.com). The three gold rings and the pearl ring give the pipe a nice touch of elegance to go with the clean lines of the pipe. Here is what the original write-up said, "Estate Free Hand 'ALPHA' and in the Grade of the 'HAND MADE' and a Wonderfully Stacked Mountain Platuea Rimed and Solid 360 Degree Straight Grained all the way around the Bowl and a Pointed Heel Bottom Bowl and a Triple Gold Banded Shanked and a Screw in Stem that is orginal and not a repair and a Spotless 'ALPHA' and its 6 by 3 inches" The nomenclature reads "ALPHA" and "Hand Made." In extremely tiny print, where the stem meets the shank, "ISRAEL" is imprinted too.
