About 80 Native ocean-going canoes are expectd to arrive on July 28, 2008, and Canoe Protocol will continue through Aug. 1st. Cowichan will then host the huge event: the North American Indigenous Games from August 2 thru August 10. For the Canoe Journey, participants from Tribal Communities and Native Nations of B.C., Canada, and Washington State, Oregon, and Alaska, USA. Schedules and routes for NATIVE CANOE JOURNEY 2008 / PADDLE TO COWICHAN will be listed as soon as they are available at on www.tribaljourneys.com on the ALL CANOES page.
