Susan is the original bass player for BRANDED HEART and has been with the band for 23 years. She sings lead and harmony vocals, and plays electric bass. Her musical background stems from a family gospel group, where her mother played piano, and she and her two sisters sang. They still love to sing together during family gatherings. Her taste in music varies into many different styles of music. Susan provides the band with a driving bass, while also opening them up to female oriented material. One of Susan's favorite past times is watching, and photographing "Hummingbirds". Susan loves to meet new people at "Branded Heart's" live performances. So if you attend one of our events, please make sure you tap her on the shoulder and say.........
HOWDY!!! Tom is an orginial member of Branded Heart, and has been with them for 23 years. He sings lead and harmony vocals, and plays banjo, guitar, and dobro. This enables them to make a smooth transition through many styles of music. They often go from a Flatt and Scruggs tune, straight to a Skynard tune, to the Doobie Brothers, to The Newgrass Revival.......etc. Tom is employed by Norfolk Southern Railway, in the Locomotive Mechcanical Dept. Besides music and railroading, he enjoys time with his family and friends, and working in the Teamkid ministry at his local church. LAUGH!!!! Chip is the youngest member of Branded Heart. Chip plays the drums and is the driving force behind the band. There's just "something" about Branded Heart! When people enter into the venue of their performance, they can't help but tap their toes, clap their hands, or maybe even "CUT A SHINE". That reason is Chip. He is a self employed building contractor and besides his work and music, Chip enjoys time with his children, Colten and Bethany, and spending time with his sweet little wife Jennifer. Chip always enjoys meeting people at Branded Heart's engagements, so make sure to say "HI" when you see him at our next performance!!. Jerry is one of the newer members of Branded Heart! Jerry sings lead and harmony vocals, and plays electric guitar (WELL!!!!!!!!!). He is one of the few electric and accoustic guitar players that can make his style fit in any realm of music. From the raw "twang" of country and bluegrass, to the biting "growl" of southern rock, Jerry's THE MAN! He is self employed and the owner of.....
