THE WHITE MOUNTAIN ROSE!

For Joe and Sheila LaQuire a 1948 Plymouth four-door is an excellent car to carry thier dreams,, memories and grandchildren in. Joe ... Cousin Joey as they call him and Sheila have been together and married for over 40 years. A lot of cars have come and gone into their lives over the years ...

When asked what his first car was?

Cousin Joey answers , "It weren't really a car ? ... It was a 47 GMC Pick-Up ... unless you count the 51 Studebaker I used to drive around the back yard here in when I was a kid?" He then points to The back of their home ... for he has been there that long for his New England roots lie deep.

The first car Sheila remembers was a 1955 green Pontiac they dated in.

Around 1965, when their first son Chip was three months old, they headed for the Stock Car Races ... Joey says that they ran a 59 Plymouth with a 318 in it. There were four members of their team, Cousin Joey, Sheila, her brother Bob and his girl-friend. The car number they choose was 96 ... they came up with this number by adding all their ages together. Cousin Joey has driven with number 96 painted on his Stock Car doors from the days of Old Rock into the days of the New Millenium.
