MOSSMAN ANSWERED
very flatly, "Oh the book? ... That was a long time ago."
When Moskowitz countered with, "Well what have you been doing all these years?"
Mossman very excitedly answered, " I have this big Kawasaki Vulcan I have been riding!"
Now we all know where Mossman's heart is ... Don't We?
When Moskowitz first arrived at Mossman's house ... the home of Mossman's late parents, they chatted . Mossman said he had worked as a welder for 25 years, bundled newspapers the last few years and was now retired ... No fancy Ivory tower existence here just, a simple blue collar and blue wrench life. After chatting awhile Moskowitz and Mossman headed up stairs to Mossman's room ... one of the first things Mossman said upstairs was "Here is my Motorcycle Poetry." Sadly This "Here is My Motorcycle Poetry," statement was never developed, nor expounded upon. One of the last shots in the Dow Mossman's home segment of the film is Mossman's big old dark colored Kawasaki parked beside the white porch of the house.
In several articles written about Mossman, he tells of how he likes to ride his motorcycle and make up poetry (in his mind ) to write down later.
Now! we know why Dow Mossman should be listed as a motorcycle Writer, but what about Bumper Smith?
