And I've been told if you wish for Elephants, you should be specific and add what color you'd like those Elephants to be ... Gray, White or Pink, or you could get stuck with a Beige Elephant that would clash with your living room furniture. And also, if you're going to build a better mouse trap, you should first check and see if it's not already on the market. Well Elephants and mouse traps aside, I recently wrote something in a column, (The Bikerpoet Photo 101,) wishing for Elephants, only to find out, that there was already one grazing on the bushes in my own back yard. What I had wrote was ... |

There are many reasons why this BIker Poetry movie has never come to our Bikerpoetry attention before now. One: is that it was not listed as a BIker Poetry movie, (of course not,) but, listed as an Action Adventure /Drama. Two: The Movie's title has been changed since its first release, from the original title of (The Glass Mountain,) to its present title of (Rebellious.) And a Third reason: The most tragic of all, the Writer, DIrector and Leading Actor, Bernhard Pock, died shortly after the movie's finish, at the young age of 33 years old. Bernhard Pock's mother, the famous Movie Actress, Nancy Kwan, of (The Strange World of Susie Wong,) and (The Flower and Drum Song,) fame, as well as an actress in numerous other movies, co-produced and played the role of Jeremy Duff's / Pock's, Literary agent in this Movie. Pock's mother, Kwan, tells that she did not revisit this movie for years after her son's death. Luckily, for us, Kwan took part in the movie length commentary that has been added to the 2004 DVD edition of this movie. Though this movie was not Titled, (The Biker Poet) persay, we can wonder what Pock would have to say if he were here to ask, 'If he had given this title any thought?' In a mock interview on the behind the scenes section of the DVD, Pock says to a mock interviewer, "My name is Bernhard Von Pock and I am making a movie (The Biker Poet.") Was he joking entirely about this, for we know his name was not Von Pock, for he was the son of Nancy Kwan, and Austrian Ski instructor, ( ) Pock. However, we look at this, the movie ended up being produced under two different titles and neither of them was (The Biker Poet.) |

It didn't come in as a Biker Poet web site or a Bikerpoet entry, but as a Google Image, (Biker Poet.) There, on the Google Page about the 49th image was a thumb nail of a movie poster, captioned as, a " ... Fairy Tale about a Biker Poet ..." In the poster, The Biker Poet was sitting on a motorcycle and waving a rifle. I guess Fairy tales have changed some since I was a kid? The web page was part of the Bit Torent movie rental site. I checked out the information on the web site, it said (The movie Rebellious was about a Biker Poet on a Spiritual Quest. It said I could rent the movie for $4.99 or buy it for about $9.99, I figured why rent when you can buy. ( So much for my thinking. ) By the time I headed for Net Flix, I had bought the movie twice and had never seen it once ... though, I did end up with a one minute and 27 second film clip of the movie for my $19.98. At that rate, it would cost me thousands to watch the whole movie. Best head for Net Flix, I decide. So once my copy of (Rebellious,) was ordered through Net Flix, all I could do was wait several days for it to arrive. In that time, I decided to watch my 1 minute and 27 seconds film clip 87 times, to help me break even for my $19.98 investment. |

"Jeremy have you done those rewrites?" She asks. "No, I'm working on some poems," he answers. "There's no money in writing poetry, Jeremy," she counters. Wonderful! I just paid $19.98 to be told what I already know ... in fact they have just summed up my whole life in one minute and 27 seconds, 'There's no money in writing poetry.' They go on to talk about the rewrites, "Easy money," she says. "They're life Sucking," he answers. "Any luck on the "Biker Poet?" he asks. "No bites yet," she replies. The clip ends with Duff pulling his 70 Triumph Bonneville under what appears to be a ranch gate. |
