WHY A BIKERPOETRY MONTH?

Up North, East Coast, North East, New England, however you want to slice the loaf, August would be a much better month as a National BikerPoetry Month. Sunny afternoons, warm evening rides, cold drinks, and cool poetry events. All these are to be part of August as BikerPoetry Month. So it is with all these facts in hand that Roadpoet eMagazine names August 2005 to be Roadpoet eMagazine's first time ever, National BikerPoetry Month. It is with the aid, help, and talent of The Highway Poets Motorcycle Club that the 2005 National BikerPoetry Month will be held in New England and beyond. The Highway Poets Motorcycle Club Features such honor earned poets as: Colorado T Sky: Award winning Poet and present Poet Laureate of Connecticut Bikeweek. Gypsypashn: Well known Poet and present New Hampshire Motorcycle Poet Laureate. Mark Goldfinger aka (Moshe): Well published Poet and former Editor of Cambridge's " Spare Change" newspaper. Bear: Poet, Writer, Musician, Web Master and keeper of the light. Susan Buck: New York Poet, Writer and Motorcycle Journalist. Joe-Go: Award winning Poet, Writer and former 4c's Poet in Residence. Lizzard Smith: New Hampshire Poet, Minstrel, and charter member of the Highway Poets Mcc. K. Peddlar Bridges: Former Poet Laureate of Connecticut Bike Week and Present Poet Laureate of Don Clady's Connecticut Super Sunday tm Expo. The Highway Poets Motorcycle Club is a group of Published Poets, Writers and Artists that was formed in (circa) 1990. The Highway Poets strive to suport the artistic and writing community as well as the Motorcycle Community in general. The Club has active members world over, with a solid base in the North East corner of the U.S.A. |

What's the best way to celebrate Bikerpoetry Month? Riding Motorcycles and Reading Poetry! Roadpoet eMagazine in conjunction with the Highway Poets Motorcycle Club will present an exciting month of Bikerpoetry. For four weeks in August, three Bikerpoetry Events will take place each week in one of the four listed states .. Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. At least one BikerPoetry Event will take place in Vermont and one in Rhode Island and one in New York as part of the National Bikerpoetry Month Celebration. Who can be Part of the Bikerpoetry Month Celebration? Any Highwaypoet, Biker, Poet or Bikerpoet who attends and participates in any Bikerpoetry Event during the month of August, 2005. All one needs to do is state that they are reading, performing or hanging their work on the wall as part of the National Bikerpoetry Month Celebration. Who else can be part of Bikerpoetry Month? Anyone - Who Publishes Bikerpoetry, Broadcasts Bikerpoetry, or Hosts a Bikerpoetry Gig during the Month of August is part of the BikerPoetry Month Celebration. And Can be Listed as Such. Please e-mail us at roadpoetmagazine@webtv.net and let us know if you have plans to celebrate National Bikerpoetry Month. And let us know if you would like them listed. So, host a show, Publish a Bikerpoet, give a Bikerpoetry lecture, or hold a BikerPoetry Workshop, and let us know so we can give your Bikerpoetry Event possible press coverage.
