Photos of Capital Transit and DC Transit PCC street cars from the 1940s to 1960. The last street car ran in Washington, D.C. (the Nation's Capital) in 1962. There were almost 500 PCCs in Washington. In addition to the PCCs, there were ten Brill streamliners and ten St. Louis Car Co. streamliners that were delivered in the mid-1930s prior to the first PCCs. |
