Born Again at age 7 ~ I had heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ all my life, and God drew me to Himself as Dr. Robert G. Lee preached in our church, First Baptist of Senatobia, Mississippi, where Daddy was pastor.

"Called to Preach" at age 18 ~ The Lord made it clear to me through His Word that He wanted to use my life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 1:5 "BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB I KNEW YOU, AND BEFORE YOU CAME FORTH I SET YOU APART TO BE A PROPHET TO THE NATIONS."

The Preaching Begins ~ I began preaching immediately wherever I could...in my home church (Tabernacle Baptist, Macon, Georgia), and in churches in surrounding areas, youth groups and rallies, sunday school classes, nursing homes and anywhere else people would ask me.

Experience ~ Travelled with Evangelist Eddie Martin, in a "Paul/Timothy" relationship, learning from one of God's proven, seasoned soldiers of the Cross; it was during this time that I began to focus on personal preaching, or 'soul winning.' I would go in to town weeks prior of Eddie Martin's Crusades, teaching personal soul winning in the church and visiting prospects in their homes, endeavoring to win them to Christ and get them involved in the church.

On the Gospel Trail ~ Began to preach often alone, teaming with other young evangelists and evangelistic musicians

THE GREATEST EDUCATION ~ I must say that my greatest education in the ministry was by my father, W. Clyde Martin, who taught me daily by the carrying out of his ministry. I have had the blessing of being taught personally by him in all aspects of his pastoring and preaching ministry.

God has allowed me to be under the pastoral ministry of several of His choice servants: Robert G. Lee, W. Clyde Martin, Adrian Rogers, Vander Warner, Gray Allison, Jim Henry, Lee Robertson.

God used Evangelist David Cobb to introduce and disciple me in the area of 'public' or 'street' evangelism, in which I am so active now.

Since 1991, I have travelled to over 25 countries as a "Prophet to the Nations." (Ordained to the Gospel ministry by First Baptist Church of Nassau, Bahamas)

In 2004, part of a 4-man team of fulltime street evangelists as we circled the globe in an around-the-world street preaching mission...62 days, 9 countries, 40,000 miles.

Became a member of the "ICE Team," or Inner City Evangelism Team of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention; reaping the harvest fields of the housing projects and low-income areas of the major cities of the U.S.

Served The Lord with the Ron Herrod Evangelism Ministries Association as personal assistant to Dr. Herrod in his travels and as mission field coordinator, leading mission teams into Thailand as relief for the areas hit by the tsunami, India, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Romania.
