Greetings in The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Here's an update regarding the ministry God has given me, and a look at where I believe He is directing me in 2004. Will you commit to pray for me, as I trust The Lord to guide me, provide for me and use me in these and the other events He shows me? You are receiving this because I have felt God loving me through you. You have supported me with words of encouragement, sincere intercessions and prayers, and even with your finances. I am always humbled and moved when you do this. My needs remain the same...to have provision to carry out the mission The Lord Himself has given me.. to go into all the world and preach Jesus. My desire is to be surrounded by people who will lift me up constantly in prayer. A true prayer intercessor is among the most valuable blessings any man or woman of God could possess.

2004 Schedule

JANUARY ~ Personal evangelism, teaching and preaching Late Tuesday night I returned from MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE after working alongside my father, W. Clyde Martin (www.clydemartin.com), in a "Paul/Timothy" sort of mission. We focused on different aspects of personal evangelism and also in scheduled speaking engagements. Daddy taught in a preaching class and was the guest speaker in the first chapel service of 2004 at the Mid American Baptist Theological Seminary. I was able to take a small part in that chapel service, too. He also was invited by the pastor, Dr. Adrian Rogers to the pulpit and to speak briefly and close the evening service in prayer at the Bellevue Baptist Church on Sunday night. It was an honor to be my father's "Timothy" in those days of ministry. At 5:45 a.m. Monday I was able to see God draw a 33 year-old man to Jesus when he and I happened upon one another while having coffee in the hotel lobby. It was so good to visibly watch The Holy Spirit move upon him as he unashamedly cried tears of repentance and gave his all to Christ Jesus. As I left him, he was talking on his cell phone with a loved one, telling her what Jesus had done for him. That's what it's all about...winning souls is the bottom line. Pray for Leslie. ```````````````````````````````` FT. WORTH, TEXAS ~ Inner city ministry with John Sheldon, Pastor to the homeless and those on the streets...the name of the church? "The Church On The Lot." I have been there and seen it myself...this group of believers and seekers meet on a vacant lot. The Sunday I was there, we sat on what was left of a very low wall of concret blocks. Then someone sang, and then we all sang, and prayed, and John preached. And God moved. No, there was no organ or piano playing an invitation hymn, but GOD GAVE HIS INVITATION! And we were there to talk with each person individually afterward...and yes, there were decisions made for Christ there that day. Then everyone got a lunch. I have often seen God's Power demonstrated through John Sheldon as he witnessed and/or preached in the inner cities of our United States. He is meek and loving but bold as a lion. It will be good to serve alongside him again.

FEBRUARY ~ Mass Gospel tract distribution, street preaching, one-on-one sharing of the good News of Jesus, as well as teaching personal evangelism on a university campus This will be a busy month of driving thousands of miles and encountering thousands of people in worldly situations who need what Christ offers. I will be teaming with other street evangelists in three major spectator events this month. The goal is to put the Gospel in the form of a short printed message centered on God's Word into as many people's hands as possible. To execute this best, one must go where the masses are gathered. That's why we go to events like the SUPERBOWL, the DAYTONA 500...to be where thousands and thousands of people gather who normally would not receive God's message of love and forgiveness. "How shall they hear without a preacher?" WE GO TO PREACH, NOT TO PARTY. Our motivation to go is never to take part in the events as the crowd does; we do NOT go into the game or the race, but station ourselves outside where the people come and go from the events. Often this is on a streetcorner opposite the stadium or racetrack, sometimes on a sidewalk, sometimes a busstop, but always where the people traffic is the heaviest. John Shelton and I will go to MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA where we will work in the city in an area assisting the First Baptist Church as they begin a church plant there. From Montgomery, we will drive go on alone to NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. There, I have been asked by the BAPTIST STUDENT UNION, and also by the ASIAN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP at VANDERBILIT UNIVERSITY to present sessions on street evangelism to the students on February 27 and 29. This will be a time of equipping these brilliant young Christians to share what Jesus Christ has done for them with the people God crosses their paths with. In addition to this, I will be distributing Gospel tracts to the crowd at the Vanderbilt / Mississippi State basketball game Saturday night. February cities and events are: HOUSTON, TX. (The Superbowl) DAYTONA, FL. (The Daytona 500) MONTGOMERY, ALA. (First Baptist Church) NASHVILLE, TN. (Vanderbilt University, Baptist Student Union, Asian Christian Fellowship)

MARCH ~ National and International Evangelism I will be working again as a member of the ICE Team of the North American Mission Board, a selected team of experienced soulwinners who share the Gospel to the poor and hurting of the low-income areas of the major cities of the United States. Hundreds are born again of The Spirit of God as this team works. This month ICE will be in Honolulu, Hawaii.

APRIL ~ Personal evangelism, simultaneous revival crusades In obedience to Jesus' command to go into all the world and preach and teach and make disciples, I will be going to RIO DE JANIEIRO, BRAZIL for the 6th year. The Brazilians are a wonderful but hurting people. There have always been hundreds, and sometimes thousands who give their lives to Christ each time one of these trips are made.

MAY ~ Street evangelism, mass tract distribution nd one-on-one sharing of the Gospel NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE is the site of the annual River Stages Music Festival, where large crowds attend three days of outdoor concerts by many different popular musicians. It is mostly a big festival, and we will preach the love of God to as many as will listen or take a Gospel tract as they enter or depart the festival grounds. We usually station ourselves on strategic street corners opposite the gates, where the traffic in and out of the festival is the strongest. Many have come under the power of God as we stand for Jesus at this event.

JUNE ~ Personal evangelism, one-on-one witnessing With the ICE (Inner City Evangelism)Team in INDIANAPOLIS. INDIANA, going into places many don't want to go to present the Good News...the housing projects and low-income areas of that city.

SEPTEMBER ~ Mass tract distribution of multilingual Gospel tracts and personal evangelism, making use of language translators The 2004 Olympics in ATHENS, GREECE will be a very strategic and rich field for the spreading of the Gospel, and I want to be available to The Lord to be used there. This is obviously a major spectator gathering where most of the people attending will not know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Of course, the Olympics originated in Athens. Also, it was there that the apostle Paul preached his message on "The Unknown God." I would really like to preach there, too. (I was in Athens in January of 2003 for two days on my way to minister in the Muslim neighborhoods of Beirut, Lebanon. Also, God sent me to the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, as part of a 4-man, around-the-world preaching mission.) The Olympic game cities have the greatest potential for spreading the Gospel throughout the world because of the fact that virtually all the countries of the world will be represented there by athletes and spectators. What a mission field!
