CROSSFIRE CHRISTIAN BASKETBALL TEAM CARRIES THE GOSPEL MESSAGE TO ROMANIA

i thank The Lord for sending me to be a part of this effort to reach thousands of young people using the game of basketball. my role on this team was that of: ~a personal evangelist, to speak one-on-one to as many young people as possible during and after the games. ~a missionary evangelist... i was there to preach Christ in the churches of the villages and cities. ~and to be one of those who brought morning devotions to the team.

WHEN...November 28 - December 10, 2003 WHERE... Romania. City of Constanta (and surrounding villages) on the southwest shore of the Black Sea. City of Brashov and surrounding areas in the Carpathian Mountains...Transylvania. WHAT... Sports evangelism with the Crossfire Ministries Basketball Team in the high schools of the target areas in Romania. Preaching in the pulpits of churches in the cities and villages of Constanta and Brashov. WHO... Members of the Crossfire Basketball Team, some former professional and college players. Three lady volleyball players. Three preachers from different denominations. Romanian pastors, translators and bus driver. WHY... Because Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world..." The presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students and teachers of the high schools the team played in. The salvation of the lost, return of the prodigals, and encourgement and edification of the saints. To preach the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ to people individually as we came and went to and from games...in orphanages, schools, airports, restaurants, hotels, stores..."the highways and byways." To minister to fellow team members as we travelled and ministered together. To provide local pastors and congregations with contact information from new believers so that they will be able to follow up in discipleship.

THE RESULTS?

Your prayers were answered...be confident that by your prayers, encouragement and provision you were part of this successful mission to Romania! We were able to see The Lord use us to present Him and His glorious Good News to over 4000 individuals...and over 650 of those made public profession of their faith in Christ Jesus!
