Dear family and friends,

Well, here it is, late September aready! Summer is past, and we're heading into the beauty of the autumn season. We trust that you had a good and safe summer, and that you will have a healthy and prosperous time ahead.

Something new that we are doing (we may have told some of you about it already, but here is more info that you may not have heard):

We have recently accepted the management position for the Washington State internet radio information service called GOOD POLITICS RADIO. (It is NOT confined just to politics, but is multi-usage.)

It is a perfect method for Tribal, city, county and state governments, citizen groups and organizations, political candidates and office holders, and others to get their message heard in an effective, and affordable way.

GOOD POLITICS RADIO just launched, nation wide, on Sept. 15, this year, with a station for each state and one for Was. D.C.. Stations will be launching in Canada, and other places, such as Australia, in the near future.

The stations are all scrambling now to get programming, sponsors, and subscribers so we can get the stations up and running (go live). We must have at least 4 subscribers, or adequate sponsorship, in order to go live.

The California station is already on the air, and we (Washington State station) hope to be on-the-air by the end of this month. We have already produced several programs, some info programs (describing the service), and some people-on-the-street type interviews with folks expressing their ideas on various issues. These are all ready to run. We wil also be producing some programs in Spanish.

Numerous groups and individuals have expressed great interest (including Mark Foutch - candidate for Mayor of Olympia). But we still need people and organizations to step forward and get started.

Being the internet... there are practically no limitations .... other than the fact that we do ask for people to use discretion since school and college students will be using this. So, content must not contain objectionable material or language, such as profanity, hatred, mud-slinging, etc.

It is not a physical radio station in the traditional sense, but is entirely an internet, web-cast radio service. To hear the programs, listeners just go to http://www.goodpoliticsradio.com
and select the State that they want to hear the programming of, click there and select the programming schedule for that State or region.

For example, our niece and her family in Montana, can listen to the programs on the Washington State station as provided by the Elwha Klallam Tribe, and they can know, and participate with what is going on at home. Our Hawaiian friends in Seattle and Tacoma can listen to the Hawaii station programming and know what is going on there and participate by way of the interactive features of the site.

Family and community members who are away, serving in the Armed Forces and Special Forces, overseas or in other parts of the country, can stay in touch and stay involved in what is going on back home by using the features of the Good Politics Radio services.

It is interactive, and people can respond to the programming as it is being web-cast. There will be program related chats available at scheduled times, and more features that we are adding as time progresses.

Another great feature of this is the affordable, even for the smallest budget. And the programs will actually be web-cast many times. A way to save even more is to share the cost between several participants, which amounts to what one might spend on eating out, and with much longer lasting benefit.

We hope that people will tap into this as a valuable tool for communications and information resource. The potential for this to help communicate ideas, issues, concerns and needs is huge, and can be extremely beneficial to the Tribes; and of course to all people who would like to get their message across, without having to go through the slicing and dicing process that is often associated with mainstream media.

If you know any person, group, Tribe, agency, community, etc. who might be able to use this, please point them to

On a personal note:
As you know we are always extremely busy, and not exactly searching for more projects or excitement, especially after Ben's heart attack and life-saving heart surgery in July 2003 (and all the other things that have happened in our family this summer - accidents and numerous other disastrous events).

But, we do see this (Good Politics Radio) as a great service to communities, and one where we can continue to serve people in a good, positive, supportive way.

The web-cast radio concept also goes well with our media production business, and is a natural, progressive addition to what we have been doing for many years. So, we continue on, going forward, helping, and serving.

Well, this is getting much too long, so will close for now. Take care!

Best regards,

Sue and Ben Charles
