"The Driftwoods are the East Coast's original Beach Boys tribute band. From the beginning, in the mid 1960's, their legendary vocal harmonies and rock & roll rhythms, have entertained a legion of fans from the casual listener to the veteran rock musician. The Driftwoods, ruled the Rhode Island music scene, performing on the beaches in Rhode Island,at high school and college dances, local TV shows,and numerous "Battle of the Bands" contests.In a two year period,the Driftwoods won eleven of these contests..
Over the years their performances have earned them recording contracts, TV appearances, and studio vocal sessions. In addition,The Driftwoods also perform as an opening act for well known national music artists. In 1965 the band opened for "Gary Lewis & the Playboys," and in 1999, they were featured as the opening act, for "The Rascals", to name a few. Today, the Driftwoods continue to bring you the sounds, of their "Endless Summer", on the live stage. So grab your board, and catch"The Wave of a Lifetime",with Rhode Island's own "Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame" Beach Boys tribute band, The Driftwoods!"
