Here's a recap of the former Tar Heels involved in coaching high school and college basketball and how they fared in 2008-09: College Head Coaches: Sylvia Crawley ('94), coached the Boston College (ACC) women to a league mark of 7-7 (4th) and 23-12 overall in her first year there after coaching Ohio U. (Mid-American Conference) in 2007-08. BC lost in the WNIT semis to South Florida.

* The Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA selected Rashanda McCants with the 15th pick in the recent WNBA draft. "I could not believe Rashanda McCants was there (at 15th overall). We had her going to Detroit at 11. [She's] long, athletic, can defend all day long. At North Carolina she was their main defender," said Lynx coach Don Zierdan following the draft. * Ronald Curry has been signed by the Detroit Lions. The Detroit News considers Curry as an "excellent slot receiver candidate" for the Lions. Previously on THP ...
