...About anything related to insects and spiders by going to AllExperts.com. I welcome all queries directed to me there. When I don't know the answer I will admit to as much, and try to find it for you, or direct you elsewhere on the 'net. Please e-mail me at bugeric24@yahoo.com for questions related to my book or publicity for it. Thank you.

Seeking Internet and On-Air Entomology Work

I am currently seeking internet and on-air (television and radio) work to produce content about insects and arachnids for a public audience. I now have a demo DVD available for viewing thanks to Kirk Sellinger at Kalypsis Productions. Please contact me at bugeric24@yahoo.com with any requests or job leads. Thank you.

NEW! Bug Eric's blogs now on line!

I finally broke into the blogosphere! Please check out my two major blogs, Bug Eric and Sense of Misplaced for my comments and images about arthropods and nature respectively. Thank you!

THE FIELD GUIDE IS IN ITS THIRD PRINTING!

I am the principal author of the "Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North America" (Houghton Mifflin, 2007). It is currently in its third printing, so thank you for both previous sales and future sales (now you can preview the book online - see below)!

Preview the Field Guide at Google Book Search!

I'd like to thank Google Book Search for choosing to offer previews of the field guide. Now you can check it out before you buy (and you 'will' buy:-)

Bug Eric Bio

Photo by Karen Wright, Creative Exposures Photo.

I am a naturalist who has practiced entomology in a professional capacity as a former technician at the Cincinnati Zoo's Insect World exhibit, Chase Studio, Inc., and through private contracts with the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. I studied entomology at Oregon State University, but did not receive a degree. I am a firm believer in continuing education and consider myself a lifelong student!

I'm an "Insect Geek." So?!

Want to make something of it? I finally broke down and joined Insectgeeks.com where I am making new friends, mostly among "hobbyists" who rear live insects and arachnids. You can also find me blogging there periodically, and conducting polls. Check it out. There are many very cool member pages on the site sure to enchant you.
