Monarch Butterfly Release on May 23, 2009

The Monarch Butterfly Release scheduled for Saturday, May 23 was canceled due to cold, cloudy, rainy weather. The release has been re-scheduled for Sunday, May 24th at 1 pm, weather permitting. If the weather is again cold and cloudy, the release will be re-scheduled for Monday, may 25 th at 1 pm ( warmer weather permitting.
The Butterfly Zoo, at 409 Bulgarmarsh Rd, Tiverton, Rhode Island will stage a live Monarch Butterfly release (live Monarch butterflies will be released into the wild ) to celebrate Memorial Day AND to celebrate The Butterfly Zoo's 15 th summer of exhibiting living butterflies from the tropical rainforests of the world . Our opening day for the summer of 2009 is Saturday, May 23., The monarch release will take place on May 23, 2009 at 1 pm. The release is open to the public free of charge.. In case of rain or cold , cloudy weather, the release will be postponed until Sunday, May 24 th at 1 pm. If in doubt because of the weather, please check this webspace the morning of the release. There is no charge to participate in the release. --- BRING your digital or movie camera ! ATTENTION PLEASE : For most of June, July and Aug 2009 , due to technical difficulties, our normal email butterflyzoo@webtv.net will not be operational.
