HATWING ONE was the overall command structure of the VC squadrons, established at NAS Norfolk, VA.

HATULANT (Heavy Attack Training Unit Atlantic) was established at NAS Norfolk VA, moved to NAS Sanford FL in 1957 as HATULANT.
It was the training squadron for the "right" coast during the transition from the AJ Savage to the A3D Skywarrior, flying Douglas R4D-7, Grumman F9F-8T, Douglas A3D-1/2/2T, and Lockheed P2V-3B aircraft.
It merged with VAH-3 6/10/59 when HATU designation ceased.

HATUPAC (Heavy Attack Training Unit Pacific) was established at NAS North Island CA 6/15/57, moved to NAS Whidbey Island WA 7/1/57. The training squadron for WestPac it flew Douglas F3D-2T, Grumman F9F-8T, Douglas A3D-1/2/2T, and Lockheed P2V-3B aircraft.
It was redesignated VAH-123 on 6/29/59.

FASRON-51 (Fleet Aircraft Support Squadron) was established at Norfolk VA, reassigned to NAS Jacksonville FL on 12/5/51 to support VC-5, which arrived on 1/24/52, then moved to NAS Sanford 1/53. (Can someone provide info on Fasron 51 Detachment One?)

FASRON-52 (Fleet Aircraft Support Squadron) was at NAS Whidbey Island CA. (Also need info on Fasron 52).
