THISSEN BRANCH

Reinhardt Bernard Tissan b. 1836 Holland, and Catharine (Goldsmith) Tissan b. 1840 Holland emigrated to Wisconsin in mid 1860's. Tissan name spelling reflects the 1870 census.

The 1880 census reflects the name changes to Bernie and Catherine Thissen. Children:
-- Henry b. 1864, m. Tena, migrated to Seattle Washington after obtaining DC at Palmer Chiropractic
-- Joseph b. 1866
-- Helena Umberta (Lena) b. 4/12/1868. Lena married Oliver Monroe Huber in Marengo, Iowa Co. Iowa in 1894 and migrated to Kossuth Co. Iowa in 1909.
-- Mary b. 1870
-- Andrew b. 1872
-- Kate b. 1878
