The last worship song was still an echo in the sanctuary that Sunday night when two riders put the sermon on wheels... went down the valley road with a CD of the service They knew that a rider homebound, with a broken leg... with a fracured faith, waited for them at the valley's end. So they rode their echoes down the two-lane with prayer in their hearts to be the salt and light their friend was waiting for. And the broken rider sat at home alone... now and then looking at his watch listening near the window (so ready now) for those echoes that would bring the light he needed and the wholeness he sought to his waiting door. |
