Fall in Michigan! The trees are changing and the tempatures are falling and there are still many,many animals looking for new homes. Although, Michigan has been the hardest hit state for unemployment, we are people with big hearts even through the most difficult of times. Adoptions are steady and fundraising events have been very sucessful. Many people love their pets and can imagine life without a furry friend to share it with, but with the rise in foreclosures, many of the dogs and cats who have had families are suddenly being dropped off at rescues and shelters or sometimes, just being left in the house to starve to death. It's always a "good thing" when I'm contacted by a rescue saying they need more "blankies", because that means more cats and dogs are getting new homes and that's always a "good thing". Thanks for all your help!!!! I certainly couldn't provide these blankets without the generousity of caring people! Any supplies, fabric, thread, batting and etc., no matter how small, help to make over 1000 blankets each and every year. Thank you!!! Well, gotta go, there's more blankets to be done.
