This is Tinker who is 12 years old & is being medicated for his Thyroid & Heart~ He is a wonderful loving frolicky kitty--weights 16 pounds-long fur!!!

Animal & Pet Massage by ShaLaeLa Me! This morning I tried something on my pet kitty, Tinker! (coon cat, long fur with a ruff!) LOL!!! Brother to 2 other cats too!!! I have taken massage courses so I decided that Tinker, who is now 11 years old, must have some achey joints & muscles!!! As you do your strokes, remember to take your hand or hands & sweep off their body into the air, removing excess stresses on them! Wash your hands under warm water afterwards so you won't take on the energies of your cat or pet, that you just took away!! Also clicking your fingers against your thumb, will get rid of negative energies as you take them from your cat or pet!!! I remembered that soft but firm touching is a good place to start!!! So I proceeded to work on his back with my thumb on one side of his spine and my forefinger on the other side of his spine, then I moved my hand slowly down his back, with a slight pushing down! He just loved and started purring immediatey!!!!

This is StarFire who recently passed away~he was 22-23 pounds! A large Coon type cat with long fur & a big ruff!

Then I moved my hands down to his shoulder joints & rubbed slowly around the edges of his blades!!! Did he ever love that!!! Next, I used a circular motion with my hands & or fingers on top of his head, then down the sides of his body! Meanwhile he is just eating this up and says, More! More! More!! with his EYES!!! He actually volunatarily rolled to his other side!!! LOL!!!

Don't forget to smooth down their tail and do a circular motion on the paws, if they will let you! I also did a cupping motion over his spine! That is where you form your 2 hands like a cup!, and go down his spine, in sort of a poping sound! very softly!~they or he loved that too!

Please take into account their age! Older cats & pets will appreciate this! Younger ones may like just a few deep rubs & thats it!! Use intution to tell you what your cat wants!!!
Also make sure there are no bruises or abscesses on their body before you start! I f you notice an abcess, besides calling the vet, you may go softly around it!

This is Widget, my female Coon Kitty who is 12 pounds & the smallest of the 3 cats that we have! (1st cat!) She like most cats like the HIGH places to sleep!!! The 2nd picture is of StarFire again who discovered that we were going on a trip & did not want us to go! He said!"This just fits ME!" LOL!!!!!
