2001: Three Sailors At The Wall

November 11, 2001, Veterans Day and the first Clarke County Re-union at The Wall in D.C. Art Deschenes, Bill Stute, and I were together for the first time in 3 decades. We toured Arlington Cemetery and attended the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony, with Sam Elliott and Lee Greenwood as celebrity guests speakers. Additional Wall photos on Reunion pages.

2003: THE SECOND TIME AROUND...HERE'S ART DESCHENES

This time, I get off the train at the airport where Art picks me up. We drive to his house so he can show me his "war room" which is very impressive. I meet the kids then we're off to DC for the Wall visit.

...AND ME!

Again, we stroll the grounds, visit memorials and shake hands with other vets. Everyone has a tale to share.
