About the Artist:

My name is Dawn Camp, I was born January 27,1971, in Sarasota, FL. Over 20 years Lake Wales, FL, has been my home. Being the only child I spent most of my time alone, art and drawing was my favorite pastime. I went to grade school in Lakeland then moved to Lake Wales where I attend LWHS and graduated in 1988. In January 2002 I enrolled at Ridge Technical Center for Structural Drafting/CAD and in May 2003 received my Certificate of Completion. I was awarded with 2 Director Quality Awards and was elected into the National Vocational-Technical Honor Society.

I started painting in 1998 with acrylics. I rediscovered my talent after years of forgetting the love I have for art. I have completed over 95 paintings and have sold over 25. My paintings are displayed at The Gallery, Mar-Lisa Cove, and Camp Mack. You can also find my art at www.deltadawndesigns.com on the internet. I have attended a few of Thomas Freeman's art classes. In the art classes I gained some valuable insight and new friends.

This is my 1st official showing of my art. It is such a honor to be in the Lake Wales Library. I couldn't ask for a better place or town to display my art in. My paintings are of local areas and landmarks. I feel a need to show the beauty that GOD has blessed us with before it is destroyed and lost. I am also a mother of one. My son's name is Jake Wojtanowski. He is 8 years old and very artistic with a super imagination, and a deep respect for nature and animals. I try to set a good example for him follow so he can express his ideas and believe in his dreams. My goals in life are to one day write a book, a career in drafting, and continue my artistic journey.
