| <--LINKS--> | Since you are here, then this means you want to learn about Ellipse? Let's get down to business. I am using a 400x400 blank gif. Once you are at Draw at Image Magick, delete the FILL COLOR white because we want it left black. Now in STROKE COLOR [ the color of the ellipse lines] put whichever color you desire yours to be. The width we want the lines of the ellipse to be is 5 so put that in STROKE WIDTH. Good now that is settled, we'll continue with the coordinates. This is the Degrees Circle (graph of rotation ). This will help to understand how the rotation works. It only moves clockwise from the start at 0. Three sets of Coordinats are needed for it to work. FIRST SET: This determines the center. 200 over from left edge [ half of gif ]. 200 down from top edge [ half of gif ] The center is where the two meet. This coordinate determines where the oval will be positioned on your gif. SECOND SET: The Width and Height . The width 150, determines how many pixels on the left and right side of the center, your oval or whatever will be. In other words, by putting 150, this will make the actual total width to be 300. ONLY PUT HALF FOR THE COORDINATES. The same goes for the Height which is 190. Here is an example with eight different rotations. I had them all begin at 0, but you can begin anywhere and the rotation will move to the end coordinate in a clockwise manner. The example below is of ovals showing the height and width. The THIRD SET: Determine the Degrees from start to finish of rotation. 180 half of the graph. To make a complete rotation you could put it in two ways. 1st: [0,360] or just -360. Here is an example. This is the only negative that you will use in the ELLIPSE coordinates. The actual width of the example below is 300, ( 2x150 ) I used in the coordinates but the height is the actual height because the rotation did not continue past and above the center point. The three ovals in the next example, show how the coordinates in the First set [ determines the center point ] controls where your ellispe or oval will be on your gif. You could position it higher or lower by putting in a lower or higher number for the center point in the second number of the first set. Instead of 150,200 put 150,150 or 150,250 I think you get the idea. You might even want to have apart of it to disappear off the gif. |
