How to make folders for your bookmarks (favorites), save them, and assign your F-Keys Locate and press the Favs button on your key board. It is on the top row, about in the middle. If this is your first time here you will see a couple of folders Webtv has already placed here for you. To the left you will see: Add folder, Rename, and Remove. If you click on Add a folder, a screen will pop up asking you to name the new folder. Type in your choice, such as: Graphics. Now click done. You will be taken back to the main screen in you favs and this folder will be added. If you should want to rename this folder, all you have to do is click on rename and type in your new name choice, click done, and the change will be made. If you want to remove a folder, just click on Remove. A screen will pop up listing all your folders. You can click remove by the name of the folder you wish to have removed. When you are done, drop down to the bottom and click done. Now that you have folders set up, let's explore how to use and manage them. Click on one of your folders. You will see pictures of each site that is saved in that folder. Also, on the left you will see the words: Folders, and Organize. If you click on Folders, you will be taken back to the main Favs screen. If you click on organize, you will come to a screen with the following options. Discard: Clicking on this will allow you to discard individual sites saved in your folder. Click the site you wish to remove, then click done when you have removed all the ones you wish to remove. Rename: Clicking on this allows you to rename individual sites saved. This is especially handy for sites that come up with no name. Listings: Click this and you will be given the option of the sites you save in your folders being listed with or without the thumbnail pictures. Shortcuts: This allows you to assign your F-keys to a favorite site. When you press the button you just have to click on the site you wish on your F-key, then you are taken to a screen asking you to assign a specific key number. (You will find your F-keys on the top row of your key board, on the left. F1-F7) Once you assign a number click done. When you have assigned all you want to click done again. You may also view what is assigned to the F-keys in this option. Hint: It is a good idea to have one folder assigned marked to keep, and place the F-key sites in it so they don't accidentaly get discarded. Move to folder:This option allows you to move a saved site from one folder to another. Click on this and you will be taken to a screen showing the contents of your folder with a button beside each one. This button list each folder. Click on it and go to the name of the folder you wish the site to be moved to. Click done when you have moved all you wish too. Ok, now you have folders. How do you get the sites saved? Locate the save button on your keybord. It is on the upper row on the right. When you are at a site that you would like to save in your folders, press the save button. A screen will pop up showing a list of your folders. Move your cursor over to the list of folders, when the cursor is on the folder you want, press return and a check mark will be placed there. (If the wrong one was checked don't worry, just go to the right one and press return again. It will move the check mark.)
