2010 Baja Trip to Mision Santa Maria!
We leave May 28 for El Rosario then on to the mission the next day... several others wil be joining us for the toughest 4X4 road in Baja (well, one of them anyway!
We will spend that night by the mission and return to El Rosario the next day... staying at the Baja Cactus Motel.
See details and photos on the Baja Nomad Off Roading forum.
2009 NEWS:
Guadalupe Canyon Hot Springs: Arturo's Campo #1 is CLOSED.
A combination of Arturo's failing health (cancer) and his brother Ernesto shutting off the hot spring water to Arturo's section spell a potential end to the beautiful, private camping we have enjoyed for so many years.
Ernesto's side of the canyon has no privacy or the beauty that Arturo's campsites offered. We will greatly miss this special Baja oasis!

Explore Baja from Space!
More and more of Baja is covered by high resolution photos by satellite. Find your favorite camp site, follow roads and note their GPS location (WGS84), then go to them on your next trip south. Go to www.wikimapia.org and zoom in on Baja (or anywhere for that matter) and if it is a high resolution region, see houses, trees, cars on the highway, mission ruins, the Camino Real, etc.!
