This is a picture of one of Ganymede's friends, Michelle or otherwise known as MaachaQ. She's also on the Indiana Sailor Moon list and does fansubbing. I look forward to her express permission to share this videocapture of her with people who see this page. ^_^
This is a friend of Michelle's and Ganymede tells me he's not sure who she is. So hopefully along with permission to keep this particular capture up will be some sort of identification, if such identification is desired. Some people don't want to be identified. Heck, I'd like a pic of Kia Asamiya. ^_^
Ganymede knows this fellow. I think I remember him being from South Africa, who in 1998, was going to enroll at University of Toronto. Sorry that I'm not sure what his name is, something like JC or something?? Anyone?
UPDATE: The young man here is Leslie Major, and he used to have his own website of artwork he's created (I hope he just moved it). I think the young lady's name is Lisa. ^_^ Both are fan artists I met last year at Anime North 99. Very nice people both of them. I'm glad we're able to get together each year. Les got to meet one of his idols, I guess you could say, by meeting Ben Dunn from Antarctic Press this year.
Update February 14, 2004: I guess Les pursued a dream and made it become real recently. I saw a listing for Sentai Studios in the October 2003 Previews order book with Les' name on it along with Ben Dunn's. Their first product of a collaboration, which is what I would call it, is a comic book and a video game combined into 1 package, and Ninja High School Timeblast #1, which came out this week, is the result! I am lucky to have met this young man 'way back when', because I got to see some of his developing talent and thirst for creating things, as well as some of his 3-D rendering work he was trying out for his favorite Ninja High School characters. I seem to remember encouraging him on his way when I first met him, so I hope he'll remember that next time I ask him to sign my CDrom. ^_^
omedetou gozaimasu nyo, Les!!
On the last day of Anime North 2000, I was actually wearing my Sailor Moon hat with pins and my black jacket with Lum patch and this nice lady saw me and came up to say hello. She admitted to me that she's a bit of a lurker on the one mailing list I'm also on, but remembered what I said about myself and saw me. I gave her a gold paper origami swan I did that morning. ^_^ I would love to know who she is! She told me her name but I'm sorry to admit I don't remember it! I should have written it down or asked for an autograph. ^_^
This nice lady was watching over the Nihongo Circle table in the Dealers Room on Friday if I remember right. Some people will know her from one emailing list we're both on. She was instrumental in helping me aquire what seemed to be the hardest to find Year 2000 release of the Irwin Sailor Jupiter doll. Arigatou, Melissa-chan!!
hmm.. I hope I spelled that right. Anywho, Ryan here is helping out at the Dealer's room on AN2000 Friday night. I haven't exactly met this nice young man face to face just yet, but he is the first person to ingeniously figure out how to contact me in email. He got a copy of the video he appears in from my tapes. I'll have more good things to say about him once I finally meet him. I hope he'll still have good things to say about me! (warau!)
