An old 0-4-0 was placed in the park for folks to view and the large gazebo provides plenty of shade.

The oldest part of town still exists, some of the older buildings still have the balconies. The railroad now runs close to town as does the highway, rather noisy!

Another view of "old town" as you can see, it was built up on the hill. The older folks were afraid of the Great Pond flooding.

For shorter commutes, a street car line of the same era was added to provide transportation to the park.

The waiting platform at the lower level....Psst! Don't tell them, but a passenger train has not passed down there in a long time, ever since that track has been running freight.

Looking back toward the mountains.

A lot of folks are moving to the mountains, matter of fact, l see a house under construction now.

Its easy to see why folks are wanting to get up in the cool mountains and listen to the babbling of the river and falls.
