GEORGE MONTERO (aka MONTY 2)
I worked for Rubbermaid Inc for 37 years and during that time I held many different job positions. But my most rewarding and fun years were from 1983 through 1985.
Rubbermaid introduced a line of microwave cookware and hired Donovan Jon Fandre, host of "Microwaves Are For Cooking", Public T.V. Show.
I helped Donovan as he went around the country presenting Microwave Cooking demonstrations in leading Department Stores, Microwave Speciality Stores and Major Housewares Shows.
Whatever talents I have cooking microwave I owe to my mentor, Donovan.
I also appeared on Radio Talk Shows and T.V. morning shows. We also did a number of shows with Jean Durkee, "Tout De Suite I & II", Jeanne Landry, "Saute" and Frank Davis, WWL New Orleans, LA.
After I retired from Rubbermaid in 1994 I donated my free time to doing Microwave Demonstrations at Senior Centers in the New Orleans Area, Harahan Senior Center and The Peoples Program, to name a couple.
