Susan (harmonyforall) could not have sent me a more beautiful or more appropriate award. The Susan who sent me this did not know my daughter's name is Susan, and my mother, named Violet, always signed her poems and letters with a small hand-drawn picture of a violet. When I received this award, I had no idea that I would later be reading my mother's writings, and would want to include some of them on this web site. One of my good friends recently asked me how I just now happened to start reading the things my mother had written, since they had been in my possession from the time she died in 1984. My very frank answer was that I have too many things in my home for the storage space available, and I thought it would be easier to discard the things she had saved rather than the things I had saved. I was wrong in that assumption.
