Lighthearted Poem on a Serious Subject

Lover? Thief!

My money's gone!
My money's gone!
From when I met him when?
From when I met him then!
From when I met him where?
From when I met him there!
Oh no!
Tell him, "Go!"

EVE'S NOTE: This came to me as a poem fully formed in my mind upon awakening in the morning. Where did it come from? Where does inspiration ever originate? I don't know. Later that same day I was told of a particular instance of a situation like this which many women have experienced. My mother, Violet, once was knocked to the sidewalk by a purse snatcher. For other women there has been a man professing love who really just wanted a "loan" he did not intend to repay. This situation has even been reversed, and could be expressed by substituting the word "her" for the word "him." Love is called forth here in the form of forgiveness on the part of the wronged person. Simple, but not easy. Forgiveness means letting go of anger and hate, but need not mean submission to further injury.
