Choir Music for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass

Composed by Phyllis Eve Weiler, now known as Eve Adam or Harmonic Eve.

This music was written by me many years ago when I was a young stay-at-home mother, then named Phyllis Eve Weiler. I wrote out each note by hand using India Ink. Next, I had 500 copies printed by a professional printer from my camera-ready original copy. I then immediately did the necessary paperwork to obtain a second official copyright by sending copies with a fee to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Two copyright dates are listed because the first set of prints was copyrighted as "unpublished" and the second set of printed copies, containing my own lyrics at the beginning and end, was copyrighted as "published." I had hoped to get this to you in a more modern form, and perhaps some day that will happen. For now, please enjoy it in its present form. The address given at the end of the final page is no longer valid, and printing methods have changed greatly since then. Now you are invited to print out copies for your own use, using your own printer connected to your computer. I have found that using "landscape" layout with my printer works better than "portrait." I ask that the music itself not be altered or sold, although the composition may be included in public performances for which admission is charged or a donation is requested. This is written for four-part choir, but could be sung as a solo with organ or piano background, or with some other combination of voice and instrument. I offer this with LOVE and the hope that it will be sung by many people and many times. Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve (formerly known as Phyllis Eve Weiler)

The meaning of the word "peace" as intended in my part of the lyrics:

When I originally wrote my part of the lyrics to go with the Bible verse in this song, I meant INNER PEACE rather than world peace or the absence of war. However, it is my own belief that the more people there are who find inner peace, the less likely it would be that wars would continue to be our normal way of doing things here on earth. Whether this is true or not, I do truly wish inner peace to as many as are ready to receive it. Harmonic Eve, March 15, 2005.

You may print the lyrics separately from the sheet music by going to page 7 of "Harmony of Life," linked below.

To hear the first part of this song, as a midi that sounds like an organ, click below on the song title.

Note: This is only the first half of the song, to give you a basic idea of the sound. The sheet music is complete but when the first midi of the song was made, it went only through the first half.
Commandments of Love, midi sound, first half
