Eve's Grandmother Bebe and Her Three Youngest Children

I am Eve Adam, also known as Harmonic Eve.


My grandmother, born Bertha Emma Violet, had five children with her first husband before he died. Bertha was known as Bebe all the time I knew her, and I grew up cared for as if I were the only child in the marriage of Bebe and her second husband, Bernie. All of Bebe's children came to visit us over the years. I have gathered together photos of Bebe's five children. My mother Violet and her younger brother Claude are featured in the first of two web sites about Bebe's life and family. You are now in the second of these two sites, and this one features Bebe's three youngest children, Marion, Lydia, and Jack.

The OTHER site, called "Harmonic Eve's Orphan Grandmother," includes photos of my grandmother and her two oldest children (my mother Violet and her brother Claude.)

This site you are in now is a continuation of that previous site, and it could be called "Harmonic Eve's Orphan Grandmother, Part Two." However, because of the way the URL is constructed by my site-making tool (Page Builder by MSN TV) such a similar title could not be used without conflict.

Here is Papa Scott, in the back row of the photo below, along with all five of the children he had with my grandmother Bebe. Papa Scott died before I was born, but each of Bebe's five children played a big part in my own life. I first knew Violet and Claude, but later I became well acquainted with Marion, Lydia, and Jack.


Bebe's third child was Marion. Marion's daughter Barbara was like a younger sister to me. Here, in the photo below, are Barbara and Marion.

In the photo of all of Bebe's five children with their father Scott, Marion was standing up in front of Scott and behind her younger sister Lydia. Here, many years later, she is standing with her daughter Barbara. I saw Marion and Barbara many times in my childhood. Although I did not grow up with a sister, Barbara was in many respects like a sister to me. When Barbara was in the seventh grade and I was in the ninth, she stayed at Balbern and went to the same school as I did for a while. We shared a room in the big house at Balbern Farm.
