Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve. This is page 3 of "Harmonic Eve Extras."

Here's my pen pal Cheryle, who has so generously provided graphics.

Many of Cheryle's graphics can be seen on my other web sites too. She is a young grandmother living in Texas. In my "Harmony of Life" web site there is a beautiful Texas sunset she e-mailed to me just moments after she took the photo. Since I started to use the Internet, I've received quite a few surprise gift graphics from Cheryle. She makes a point of being aware of my interests and incorporates them into the graphics she sends me. Cheryle likes to use Paint Shop Pro and she has a web site called "Cherswitz Designs."

Here's Michael, a talented pen pal I am grateful to have "met."

Michael is a resident of Kentucky. He has a
magnificent singing voice and strong technical computer skills, through which he has supplied much very enjoyable music to both me and my Australian pen pal Gai. I like especially the ".wma" files of his singing that he has sent by e-mail. I found Michael from an entry in a guest book on a web site made by Cheryle for Gai. Michael has suggested to me that the difference between an adventure and a nightmare is attitude. I think he's right, and keeping this in mind has been helping me through some adventures of my own, including learning how to relate to a creative genius such as Michael. On January 19, 2006, Michael took time out from his own composing to complete the midi of my composition "The Commandments of Love." In addition, he has made a Windows Media Audio (wma) file of it. It sounds like a church organ and can be used as background for your own singing. You can find it in my site called "ExtraExtra From Harmonic Eve." To go to that site, first click "previous page" at the bottom of this page and find its link in the list of links. You will be able to download midi and wma files from the site. Michael's voice is featured there in songs I enjoy.

In this indoor photo I am in the middle between my daughter Susan and her son Robert. My pen pal Cheryle provided the frame as well as the cat in the corner of the frame. This cat has the white bib and paws like my Strawberry Cat's white bib and paws. But this cat does not have fur as "red" as Strawberry's long fur, and the natural "red" hair color belonging to both Susan and me does not show here either. I honestly believe I'm not really as fat as that photo makes me appear, and I know Robert is not as dark as he appears in the photo. I think most of the flash was hitting my shiny face. The photo was taken at my home by Susan's husband, that great guitar-playing lawyer who is my dear son-in-law and Robert's stepfather. Now I hope I can stop making web sites long enough - - - to learn how to play the guitar well enough - - - to meet his expectations by the time I see him next. I guess you could say that is one of my New Year's Resolutions. Harmonic Eve, December 31, 2004. (It is already New Year's Day for Gai in Australia)

Here's my Australian pen pal Gai with her husband, just a short while before New Year's Day 2005.

Gai found me from a guest book I had signed. She wrote to me In April 2001, which was about a month after I had started my "Harmony of Life" web site. She was not really expecting a reply, but I was delighted to hear from her and answered her promptly. I was amazed that someone in Australia could find what I wrote in California. By now we have developed a long-distance friendship so strong that we feel like sisters. She has actually been "in person" only a few miles from where I live, but that was before we met on the Internet.

Strawberry Cat Is Watching Harmonic Eve

My teen-age neighbor Sonny took this photo before he moved away. I cropped it with a paper cutter and mailed it by snail mail to Australia. My Australian pen pal Gai scanned it and e-mailed it back to me. Somewhere in southern Australia the original is among others in Gai's photo collection. I was pleased that she wanted to keep it. This was all before I purchased my scanner and had my own e-mail account at my computer. Now I can e-mail my photos to my MSN TV user names when I want to make a web site. I really like the simplicity of MSN TV's Page Builder, even though it was not intended for making sites as large as my "Harmony of Life" site. MSN TV is the name of the company that now provides my Internet connection through a set-top box (receiver) using my own television set for a monitor. Eve Adam, New Year's Eve 2004

Here I am with Sonny, my neighbor.

Sonny was quite interested in my computer and my CD player. Here he is with me before he grew up and moved away. He's the one who took the photo of me with Strawberry. Sonny came into my life at a time when my own grandchildren had already grown up enough to be more interested in their own lives than visiting with their grandmother. Sonny had time for a grandmother who lived in easy walking distance, had a computer, and liked music as much as he did.

I have featured so far on this page my only daughter, my only grandson, my "substitute grandson" Sonny, and my three pen pals, Cheryle, Gai, and Michael. Now here's a photo of my daughter taken in August of 2005, as she is visiting her own daughter Sarah. My granddaughter Sarah is on the left as you view the photo below.

The face above these words is my daughter Susan, and here, to the side of these words, is my granddaughter Joanna. She is Susan's other daughter, and this is how she looked when she was bridesmaid at Sarah's wedding.

Here (below) is Joanna again, but this time you see her as a baby with her brother when he was called Bobby instead of Robert. Sarah had not been born yet. How did everyone grow up so fast? As in the "Fiddler on the Roof" song, "I don't remember growing older... when did they?"

As a grandmother, I just had to show you at least this one baby picture, now didn't I? Sarah's baby picture, taken at about the same age as Joanna here, is in my web site called "Harmonic Eve's Ancient Pics."
