Paulette's Cat Page

WELCOME

Well it took us a while
but we finally got around to
building Paulette's site.
Now I have to take pictures
of all these cats. Not an easy task.
The first one will probably
be a picture of Lucinda, after that,
who knows which one of these cats
will allow me to take it's picture.
The hunt is on! This could take awhile.
I think I have to find six or seven different cats.
I'm geared up and ready to snap pictures of all seven
or is it eight of them.

This is MISS LUCINDA

I had to wake her up for this picture. She wasn't impressed. Probably Paulette's favorite , but don't tell the others. She weighs in at a chubby ten pounds, and we think she is the prettiest cat in the world.

This is Miss Francis

I had to wake her up also, but she was much more sociable about it.This cat follows me all over the house, and is very loveable. She loves her picture taken. She was so sick and skinny when we found her, you wouldn't realize it is the same cat today. She weighed five pounds then, she weighs about twenty pounds now. She gets very vocal when she is hungry.

This is Miss Annie

I found her sleeping on the sofa. She did not want to open her eyes. She is the most petitte cat we have. Weighs only five pounds, but is otherwise very healthy. She seems like a very prim and proper lady. She likes Paulette to hold her at the front door to wave goodbye to me when I leave for work in the morning.

This is Mr. Butch

The old man of the bunch. He made it very easy to get his picture. He was talking to me the whole time I was trying to take his photo. In fact sometimes he never shuts up. He has become more loveable with age. He comes for a petting now. A handsome fella with beautiful markings, weighing about nine pounds.

This is Miss Sweet Pea

This picture is a little better than the last picture I had. She was a little bit camera shy. In the print you can see her blue eyes. She lives outside on our deck. She is very wild. I can only pet her when she comes to me. If I go to her to try to pet her I would get all scratched up. There is nothing domestic about her, but she is beautiful. We had to use a trap to take her to the vet for spaying.

Auggie-The Augman-The Augster-The Augmiester

He is the PRINCE of the universe. Ruler of all he sees and a little more. He allows us to stay in the house with him and feed and pet him, but he is terrible to the other cats. Taking flying leaps and landing on thier backs or lunging at thier throat. Just an all around nice guy. It got so bad we have to keep him seperated from the others. In the photo he is looking for somebody to beat the stuffing out of. We shouldn't have named him Augustus. He thinks he is the ruler of all of catdom. Butch and Auggie had a big fight once, and Auggie lost. That calmed him down for a while, but only a day or two, and now he is as bad as ever.

There you have them. All but K.C. She looks a little like Annie with a black chin. I'm sure I'll get her picture soon. Right now every time I walk into the bedroom she dives under the bed. When she calms down I'll have better luck.

Now a little about how we came by all these cats.Lucinda,Annie, and K.C. were all rescued from living under the dumpster where Paulette works. They were starving and could have been crushed when they emptyed the dumpster.Between eight & ten weeks old. We were going to keep Lucinda and find homes for Annie & K.C. That didn't work.

Butch was born at a friends house who had many cats about (15) and needed to adopt a few out. We took Butch and Sundance who has passed on. He was all white. Some day I'll put his picture on this site.

Francis and Sweetpea just appeared in our back yard two years ago.Francis was starving and very sick, and very skinny. You could see every bone she had.Sweetpea was older and healthier, but wild.

AUGGIE-what can I say.Abandoned by his mother at 10 days old,and bottle fed by us.he now has a behavior problem that will take a water pistol quite a while to correct.

All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, and have had thier shots. After a rough start in life they are healthy and I hope happy.

Well the saga continues. During the early summer 00' we found a grey striped male hanging around with Sweet Pea. He was in bad shape with ear mites. He had scratched his ears bloody, and now has one ear that is folded over lke a puppy. He has been to the vet for his neutering and ear treatments, and is mending, His name is Jefferson. He looks a little rough, but he is one of the sweetest cats we have. I'll have a picture soon.

This is Miss K.C.

Well it took a couple of days,"8", but I found her sleeping on the cat tree, and got my picture. Doesn't she look like Miss Annie? She looks a little sleepy, but you take what you can get with this one. A very shy cat that hides whenever visitors come or when there is any comotion around her. We can occasionaly pet her when she comes to us while we are laying down in bed. She weighs about nine pounds. She is a pretty cat. The initials K.C. stand for "Krazy Cat". Paulette thought she acted crazy and afraid of her own shadow. We just call her Casey. Lucinda,Annie, and K.C. are probably sisters, as we found them together under the dumpster all three were the same size- 6-7 weeks old.

Spay - Neuter Your Pet Or
YOU Are Part Of The Problem

This is Mr. Jefferson

Rough looking, but a sweetheart. He fights off every cat that comes near our back yard. He comes home all bloody and scratched up. Then sits on my lap and purrs and purrs while I pet him. He loves us, but hates other cats. He is turning into a little butter ball. I guess since he adopted us he gets all the food he needs and then some. Not much to look at, but he has more personality than most other cats.

Catfood thief

During summer 2000 this racoon started comming by at dusk to eat. After a few visits she was bringing two babies with her. The cats would hiss but they wouldn't challenge her.
