Rapture Hour

{ Please Take Us Away }

+++++

I come to You this day to say,
I profess to do Your will.
Though I proclaim this promise to You,
There are some strong feelings I wish to express anyway.

Your Word, I know, says we will escape the great hour of distress,
I, as others, long to be caught up to be with You in the clouds,
So here this day I express my sincere feelings aloud.

We're living in this world of trouble and strife,
Living in the world, yet being sanctified apart from the world.
Conquering by Your Word, not by the knife;
A holy priesthood of saints-true believers ordained by Your blood,
Looking forward to your kingdom of eternal light.

I realize that today You wish me here to remain,
To reflect your divine examples and do Your will.
Yet I implore You to come quickly - at the
appointed time,
To be caught up to the clouds-until the next appointed day.
By your will, O Lord, I prefer not to be,
Because You are our Blessed Hope - please take us away.

O Lord, You are the only way,
Our Savior - the one who paved the way;
Who washed us of our sins for all time.

Come quickly, O Lord, at the Rapture hour;
In the twinkling of the eye - to this I look forward;
To the time, Lord, when You take us away.
