FAQ ABOUT PSYCHIC MEDIUM READINGSby DC The Psychic Medium Most people have a natural curiosity about what happens after death. Many believe in some sort of life after death. Some are skepical, others accept it. Those who do reach out to those who have passed on find a sense of love, inspiration, guidance, and peace. At death our spirit/soul leaves the physical body, but continues to live on in the unseen world of Spirit. Spirit teaches us thru loving messages from beyond that life continues after death and that they continue to learn and evolve, and their love for us is always present and never ends. They also still retain their memories of their life on earth. Those loved ones who are no longer with you here in the material world are now with you in Spirit. They are close by and ready to help you. Mediums have the gift of being able to tune in to Spirit and channel information from them to you.
The medium must quiet and still their mind, so that they can focus and become aware of (in tune with) the Spirit. Everything in the universe is composed of energy. Energy never dies but can change it's form. Energy vibrates at different frequencies. Spirit is a form of energy that vibrates at a faster and higher rate than ours does. So the medium must raise their vibrations to reduce the gap between the physical and spiritual. It's like tuning in a radio station, to connect you must be on the same frequency. Answer: Nothing!...a good medium doesn't want you to feed them any information ahead of time, that way you can be assured that the information that comes through is from the Spirit because the medium had no way of knowing the information before hand. Be very skeptical if before the reading you're asked to fill in forms or give any information about yourself, family or anything about the Spirits you want to contact. Especially if you're asked to send in photo of the deceased, what their name is, when and how they passed on, etc. The medium is suppose to tell you ~ not the other way around. However, if there is anything that the medium doesn't cover during the reading that you want to know, you may ask questions, so write them down ahead of time. Tape recording the reading is a great idea because you will be able to listen to it over again later. (Sometimes things the medium says may not have happened yet, somethings you may not have understood at the time of the reading) When you have a reading with a medium you will receive messages from departed loved ones, relatives, friends, spirit guides, and guardian angels who help, guide and protect you in your daily life. These are the spirits who are the closest to you and want the very best for you. If there is any special Spirit that you want to make contact with, ask them ahead of time to come. This can be as simple as thinking of them and just imagine asking them to come. Don't have your heart set upon a specific spirit, they may not come in, but usually the ones that are on your mind do come. They have "free will" just as we do, so it is their choice to come. These things aren't necessary for a medium to do a reading. When the medium has connected with a Spirit he/she will give you some type of description for you to recognize who the Spirit is. It could come in the form of a name, relationship to you, description of what the spirit looked like while on earth, what the cause of death was, illnesses they had, occupations, they may describe where they lived, things they loved to do, pets, etc. Information will come thru the medium that the medium would have no way of knowing. This information may be about you, your family, friends, etc. When you can recognize the spirit, this is the evidence or proof of continuity of life. You should be open minded, at times you may not recognize who the Spirit is, only to recall it later after thinking about it or talking with other family members who do recognize it. Don't decide ahead of time that if the Spirit of Grandma comes thru she's definitely going to mention a specific thing to let you know it's her. That specific thing may not come up, but other evidence will. The medium can only repeat to you how the Spirit appears to him/her, and what the Spirit tells & show him or her, and like people, you never know what someone is going to say. Their personalities can be either the same as when they were here, or they may have evolved to a higher level. A medium will not let any Spirit personalities thru that are harmful or negative. They must come here in the love vibration. Only the highest and best of guides are invited. If there's a Spirit that wants to come thru and you recognize them and don't want that communication, simply tell the medium that Spirit is not welcome. If it's the first time you have been in communication with them, many Spirits (especially close family members) are as excited as you are at being able to finally communicate with you and to be able to let you know that they are happy and are ok. If they were ill near death, they mention that they have no pain anymore. Many times, especially if they have evolved, they can be very apologetic about things that they did on earth that they now look back on and regret, and now want to make it up to you. You only have to ask them. One theme that is consistent with readings is that the spirits that come to communicate come filled with love for you. Spirit is always around you, whether you are aware of it or not. They help you in ways that you may never understand. They can tell you little things that happen that you wouldn't think twice about. They're aware of your prayers and when you cry out for help. At times, you probably have felt them gently touching your face or arm and didn't realize it was them. You may have had a warm tingling feeling and suddenly felt better, that's one way they come to comfort you. Spirit sees things from a larger viewpoint up above. So they can see further than the present. They have no sense of time as we know it, no clocks or calendars in heaven. They have more knowledge in spirit and are connected at a higher level with the universe/God/infinite intelligence/the Source/superconsciousness/whatever you want to call it. They have unlimited resources that humans don't. In a way it may be like parents guiding their children, as adults we have more knowledge, experience, and resources. Spirit can be objective and doesn't let emotions guide what is a right and what is a wrong choice. Sometimes we're just too emotionally involved and close to a situation to be objective. We may choose what is in front of us, but if we have patience the perfect and best choice may be right around the corner. They can tell us this. But remember that we always have the right to exercise our "free will" in any decision that we make. All mediums are psychics but not all psychics are mediums. We are all psychic, but some have developed it to a higher degree or were just born with more sensitivity. A psychic uses their intuitive abilities to give readings. They may get visions in their mind, be able to sense things, or may give you information that just comes to their mind. Some psychics do get their information from spirit but aren't aware of where it's coming from. Mediums are psychic, and they also have the ability to communicate in some way with the spirit world. Some mediums were born that way and even as children could hear and see spirits materialize right in front of them. Other mediums developed this gift and are able to "see" spirits in their mind's eye. Sensing the presence of the spirit, is a distinct knowing or sense they are present. Feeling the spirit, is usually described as a tingling, warmth or chill, a gentle touch, hug, sometimes it's the last physical sensation the spirit had on earth. Many times it's an overwhelming emotional feeling of love that will bring tears to the eyes of the medium. The medium may feel like they are in the physical body of the spirit when they were on earth, taller or shorter, thinner or bigger. If for example the spirit had a problem with their heart when alive, the medium may feel a sensation in their own heart area that would resemble the spirit's. Sometimes when the spirit first comes in, the medium will actually feel the way that the spirit felt at the time of their death; which one way that you may recognize who the spirit is. Spirit communication is both mentally and physically demanding on the medium. Smelling the spirit, is usually described as a scent, fragrance, or aroma which would have been associated with the spirit when on earth. This could be the scent of their favorite perfume or cologne, flowers, cigars, etc. Clairsentience is the ability to "know" about someone or something without the use of the five senses.
