The BDE Aviation Section supplied the battalion's C&C ship(Command and Control ship). Early on, the 'C&C Ship' was a UH-1 'Huey' slick configured with several radios. Latter, the Huey was replaced by a 'Loach' (OH-6A helicopter) with the specialized 'Command Net' radio installation.
