The following photographs were submitted by Jerrold "Moon" Brooks, 1st Platoon, Alpha in 1969-70.

1st Platoon, late '69 or early '70. Photo submitted by Jerrold Brooks (the 'me' in the photo). Others are Charles "Terry" Russell, Sgt. "Sam" McCall, and "Tex" Fairbanks.

Dau Tieng – nick-named "Rocket City" – came under such frequent mortar and rocket attack that the forces stationed there borrowed underground.

According to the Veterans of Alpha Company's 1st platoon, Tony holds the world-record for a Lieutenant being "in the field"..... nearly 12 months.

The Jeep artwork was done by Ron "Zippo" Vanone who painted the logos and signage at FSB Pershing and in our battalion area at Cu Chi in 1969. Ron was an Alpha Co., 3rd Platoon machine gunner & talented artist.
