Using Link Tag Attributes With WebTV

The second link below should be selected with the WebTV highlight box when this document opens. This is accomplished by using the proprietary WebTV HTML <a> tag attribute 'selected' inside the second link tag.

Note: WebTV does not support the HTML link navigation 'accesskey' and 'tabindex' attributes. However, you can jump to successive links in order using the WebTV keyboard 'Tab' key.

Also, note: that the 'selected' attribute does not work in email and NG posts with WebTV, because the 'highlight' box always opens on a 'sidebar' link, rather than on a link in the message body. But, you can use the 'Tab' key to toggle thru all the links, first the sidebar, then header, then the message body links in order, in email messages and NG posts.
