Attention WebTV Viewers:
WebTV does not adequately support certain standard functionality which is incorporated into many of our games — specifically, frames and dynamic HTML. For this reason, we are closing down the WebTV version of Lycos Gamesville.
We have tried to work around the limitations of the WebTV technology. But, unfortunately, WebTV simply cannot provide the optimal Gamesville experience to our users. We have concluded that WebTV's limitations have become so frustrating — for our WebTV viewers, and for us as well — that we have no choice but to discontinue the WebTV version of Lycos Gamesville.
The good news is Lycos Gamesville is still available to non-WebTV viewers. So if you log on using a personal computer, Gamesville will be here with more games, more prizes and more fun!

PLEASE go read it and sign it and I will pass it along to lycos-gamesville. I have already passed it along to them once already so that they could see it and make statement on it. So when and if they make a statement and I get it. ThenI will pass it along here. I don't know if anybody could take any kind of legal action against them here. I would need to check it out and see about it. If it would be possible, then I will pass it along here and maybe have a way that you could opt-in if you like and are insterested.

First of all I have sent gamesville.com feedback on this issue here to let them know my feelings about this here. Now I DO NOT believe that this is right as to what they have done here. I believe that they just decided that is was just too hard for them to try and keep up with webtv and to keep the going to where all webtv users can play at gamesville. Now I have told them that I DEMAND that they bring back gamesville for webtv. Besides when I goto gamesville on my computer the site DOES NOT look any different than if I went to it on webtv. In fact I would bet that webtv users would put up with more than they might think. If I'm wrong here on that. Well I have a new message board here where you can leave your comments about this and so that others can see it. You can also sign the petition and leave any comments on there. PLEASE NO emails here, because I'm afraid that I could not get to them all and reply back to them if i needed to.

I'll just have to see about there. But the only requirement to psot a message here is that you put your name and email address.
That's about how you need to know for now to post here. If I keep this board around longer and maybe change the name of it to something else here and use the board for other things, then I take of that when and if the time comes here. Who knows I just end making it like a help group like new:webtv.users, an webtv users only newsgroup that I post at, at times ans have met some new webtv friends through.
