My name is Joyce Gunsalus and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I have been breeding Shelties for the past 10 years in the hope of obtaining the "ideal" dog with the help of my admired mentor, Sharon Crawford of Sunburst Shelties. I wish to thank her and others for their help and encouragement. I am a member of the local ASSA chapter club, Mid-Arizona Shetland Sheepdog Club (MASSC).
All my dogs live indoors with me and have access to a large back yard. When my puppies are ready for their new home, they are well socialized (I prefer to call it humanized).
I strive to breed for both conformation and performance. I currently have three shelties in agility; one of which has her Excellent titles. I emphasize early conditioning of my puppies following the methods of Carmen Battaglia as used by the US military forces.
My next litter is planned for sometime this coming summer of 2008.

Tasha now, as of Nov., 2005, has her AKC OA (Open Agility) & OAJ ( Open Jumpers With Weaves) titles. I am so proud of her.

Please see the next page for a picture of CH Sunburst Oasis Ladies Choice ("Mocha"), a leading top Sheltie in the country. He is a full brother to the sire I have mostly used in my breeding program. He is absolutely gorgeous.
My first litter out of Holly was by "Mocha" which gave me my first & only champion, "Coffee". I extend grateful thanks to Sharon Crawford & Linda Guihen for making this all possible.
