HELP ME FIND KATE FULMER Can you help me figure out where she came from or where she went to??? She was suppose to have been born 1837 in Bavaria (according to the census), but family lore says we have Native American, Cherokee, in us and i think it's possible that it was her. WHAT I KNOW; 1. CATHERINE VOLLMER (FULMER) married my gr,gr,gr,grandfather ADAM VOLLMER (FULMER in OH) April 13,1856 in Stark County OH. the marriage record says; I certify that on the 13th day of April AD 1856 ADAM FULMER and CATHARINE FULMER were legally joined in Marriage by and a Minister of the Gospel G. Weaver. 2. 1860 census for Lake township, Stark County OH lists; ADAM FULMER 25 blacksmith Bavaria wife CATHARINE 23 Bavaria daughter CAROLINE 9/12 OH 3. Birth records of 3 sons born to Adam and Catharine that died when they were all about 2 months old WILLIAM born 1861, ALFRED born 1868 and ADAM born 1870, all died when they were 2-3 months old. 4. 1870 census for Lake Township, Stark county OH lists; ADAM FULMER 35 Farmer Bavaria wife CATHARINE 33 Bavaria daughter CAROLINE 10 OH daughter CATHARINE 8 OH daughter MARY 5 OH in the 1880 census, ADAM moved to Huntington County IN with CAROLINE (now married to Frank RENZ) and MARY and is listed as divorced. this is where i lose both CATHARINE's. where could they have went? i know they both could have married, but there are no FULMER marriages listed. why did he take just the 2 girls??? also why did CAROLINE decide to follow her father and not stay behind with mother? i have checked both OH and IN with no luck. i also have ADAM's 1921 Obituary that says "He married a girl bearing his name, and that to the union were born 11 children, of whom 2 survive (CAROLINE & MARY) she died 27 years ago". (he married an ELIZABETH URSCHEL in 1898). one last thing there is a CATHARINE FULMER buried in St Jacobs Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stark county OH. (where the 3 sons are buried) and it says she died July 18,1895 age 58 years 10 months and 27 days old. but i really don't think this is my Catharine. and i know the census say she was born in Bavaria, but i can find no listings for a Catharine on any ship list that match her description. which leads me back to the maybe she is my Native American ancestor???? any guesses or hints welcome!!! thank you kathy kathy556@webtv.net
