Earth 2 GOHs gathered before their Q&A to chat with fans and pose for pictures. Clancy, a charming giant of a man, graciously posed with awed fans.

Patrick joined the Earth 2 GOHs for the Q&A. Someone asked Clancy whether he thought Devon would have wound up with Danziger or Shepperd - Clancy drew laughter by pointing to Patrick.

Speaking of the cancellation of the show, Clancy said, "They killed the goose that laid the golden egg."

Clancy, famed for his appearances in Highlander and The Shawshank Redemption, made a movie in Ireland called Yesterday's Children. He will also be appearing in a new TV series called "Breaking News" on TNT.

Lisa said she will be appearing as "Betty Bovine" in a movie called Monkey Bones.

Joey is in the 10th grade and appears in an improv show at the L.A. Connection. He said that eventually he would like to be a director. (Fans who saw his show Sunday night enjoyed it greatly. Joey has a natural talent for comedy and does a dead-on imitation of Christian Slater.)

Kirk works at Universal and was seen in the HBO movie If These Walls Could Talk and had a speaking (!) role on The Practice.

Jana, a glamorous and delightful lady, said she has been working non-stop this past year.

Several GOH's mentioned the Screen Actors Guild strike. Bill and Lisa explained that SAG is striking against advertisers over commercial residuals.

Lisa, a petite beauty who is considerably cuter than the Grendler she played on the show, said that her husband and fellow Grendler Jeff Diest passed out in costume in the New Mexico heat, leading Lisa to worry that they would be fired their first day on the job. Lisa described the Earth 2 experience as "we were over 100 people thrown together for nine months and did a good job of not killing each other."

After the Q&A, Clancy and Joey suited up for a duel!

En garde!

Touché!

There can be only one - and this time it was Clancy. Joey got to keep his head.

Fans line up for autographs. Clancy's daughter, in pink at right, had fun playing with Sadie

Outside the hotel

Saturday night, Kirk, Jana, and Bill rounded up a bunch of fans to go to Universal's CityWalk (an outdoor mall that looks vaguely like a scene from Blade Runner) for dinner. The Hard Rock Cafe was too crowded, so the gang wound up at a noisy restaurant called Buca de Beppo. Kirk, although silent in Earth 2, is hilariously funny and kept everyone laughing. Good food, good wine, good company, great fun - it was a wonderful evening (capped by Nic's cartwheel on the crowded CityWalk!) and definitely one of the weekend's highlights.

Yes, that's a spoon on his nose.

SUNDAY

On Sunday, a small group toured up the Pacific Coast Highway past Malibu and Zuma Beach to the Leo Carillo State Park site where Brave New Pacifica was filmed. The crescent shaped beach looks much smaller in person. The "spider tunnel" was filled with seaweed.

This photo of New Pacifica, taken last year, shows a name in the sand...
