.....WE SHALL OVERCOME SOMEHOW.....

Over two hundred airborne hostages and thousands more who never had a chance. Support teams who risked their lives that ended so abruptly along with those who continue to finish the overwhelming task. Law enforcement in search of who and why. Numerous injured and traumatized as are their grieving families. Viewers around the world witnessing this day and its aftermath are stunned with feelings of sadness, anger and confusion.

So what drives a mind to go so astray as to destroy what we as a nation have built for 225 years? What drives a mind to void all compassion without a trace of conscience? Thank goodness love is stronger than hate. I am deeply hurt.

My humble thanks to all the rescue workers and volunteers. And to the construction crews who did their very best. Also, to our law enforcement along with our military and world allies. As we seek the truth to try and put an end to terrorism; let's keep a level head.

I weep for those whose lives were taken so abruptly. For the many who have lost their loved ones; may your inner strength continue to hold you and your families together. We are strong and where we belong. May God bless America ~k © '01
